The Bottom Line:
an Awesome deal. Just as good as an iMac but cheaper.
This is simply an awesome deal. You get the performance of a G4 (there is a big difference) and a very, very large display. Even though the screen is sold as a 17" model, it is actually more like a 18" or 19" because it has such a large visible area.
The included software such as iMovie and iDVD work so well and are extremely easy to use. The SuperDrive burns DVDs without any problems at all. This machine is great for making home DVDs.
Even though the eMac's G4 processor is slower than the average Intel or AMD one I promise you will not notice it at all. As a matter of fact, when doing straight mathematical computations, the 800MHz G4 is just as fast and in some cases even faster than a 2GHZ Pentium IV. I own both machines and have done the benchmarks myself, it is the honest truth.
This machine is a bit noisy however, the fan in the back of the machine works pretty hard to keep the case cool. Overall it is an awesome deal.
