Yes
The Bottom Line:
This is a very good product that if your iterested in getting an Apple you should consider getting.
Well I had used a PC all of my life but kept on hearing about Apple and OS X so I made the switch and got the eMac since it was one of the cheaper Mac's and I wouldn't be as disappointed if I didn't like OS X. But i'm glad I made the switch.
The Box
When I first opened the eMac I was stunned at how well it was packed. On top was the Keyboard and Mouse. These two items also stunned me at how well they looked. After admiring them I put them to the side and then unloaded the eMac which is heavy, and then began to set up everything.
Mac OS X
The thing that I like the most about the eMac is OS X. This is truely a WONDERFUL OS. It's very elegant and comes with some pretty darn good software. The Beauty of this OS is unbelievable, and will be VERY much appreciated over the Windows OS's GUI.
The iApps
-iTunes
I had never really been a big music person until I got the eMac and tried out iTunes. For starters I put a little bit of music that I had lying around and just couldn't stop once I got going. I have had the eMac for a few months now and I have a couple hundred songs loaded and the collection just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
-iPhoto
After I got the eMac my dad got a Digital Camera. The software that comes with the Camera is for both Windows and Mac. We installed it on my brothers PC and my Mac and then took a few pictures to try everything out. The software on both systems was pretty confusing and took a while to get anything done. I think it took us about 10 or 20 minutes to find out how to print using the software on his PC. So I remembered iPhoto and I had never really had any use for it but decided it was time to try. So I just hooked the camera up to my Mac and then waited a few seconds and then clicked the Import button and then it imported all of the files into the iPhoto library. If I wanted to print all I had to do was double click the picture and then click the share button and then print. iPhoto is a VERY useful program to use with Digital Camera.
Other
Right out of the box the eMac just worked, I've had no problems with it what-so-ever. Although I could use some more RAM which I will get. This is a very good system for basic use like word processing, internet, and games like The Sims and such, but I wouldn't get it for anything major like for really graphical games. Since I got mine the Prices have been dropped and the Processors have been upgraded which is even better.
