bylawman67 Apr 11, 2006

Pros Still faster than MacBook Pro for PPC-only applications, tried and true technology,...
Cons Much slower than MacBook Pro on universal applications, underwhelming battery life
Recommended it? Yes

I recently opened my own law firm, and thus had the pleasure of buying a whole slew of computers. First were the two desktop machines, a 20" G5 iMac for my office manager and a PPC Mac Mini with a 19" LCD for my associate, both of which to be reviewed soon. The desktops were easy, as my goals were... Read full review »

My trusty old IBM Thinkpad finally bit the dust and I was in the market for another notebook. I researched different brands and models, and do admit Apple have probably one of the slickest ad campaigns around. Touting the performance and interoperability of the new OS-X to the pc platform; the... Read full review »

I've been using my PowerBook now for 3 months and it has proven to be a very well designed and reliable piece of equipment. It is very thin and light weight so I have gotten into the habit of carting it back and forth to work to work on ongoing projects. It works very well with wireless networks... Read full review »

I am a die hard Mac fan. I have had better experiences with Macs than with any other computer. I am sure that Windows fans say the same for their PCs, but Apples ease of use and stable platform (not to mention the lack of problems with viruses) are all things that draw me to Apple.

I have had mine for a month or so, and it never ceases to amaze me. I especially love the backlit keys, cause I do a lot of work in the dark (poor sleeper due to back injury), and the auto dim feature of the screen- I didn't know it had that!

I look forward to burning my first DVD- as... Read full review »

I have been a Windows user since computers started to come out with Windows (I started using DOS based computers since high school). I needed a new laptop after my thinkpad died. I got my mac G4 used on eBay, and I must say that for this laptop being it's age, it's great! I had to replace the battery at first, since it does lose power fairly quickly and the one I had didn't hold a charge, but new batteries can be purchased online fairly cheaply and it's a great choice,...
