I have always wanted to get an MP3 player all my life. The trouble was I didn't know what kind of what brand to get. My friend got the first ipod that came out and I thought that it was the coolest thing ever. Then throughout the years newer ipods started coming out but I just wasent hooked on any particular one just yet. Then the 30 GB ipod came out. My search was over. Now I just needed to pick a color. Black was what I decided was for me.
This 30 GB ipod can play tons of music PLUS it can play videos. This ipod was exactly what I was looking for.
Screen Size
This ipod's screen size is about 2 x 1.5 inches. That is kind of small but if you look at the other ipods this screen is just about right. It's small enough to keep the ipod sleek and slender but big enough to be able to enjoy a movie.
Audio and Video
These ipod's can hold a lot of memory. 30GB is a lot of space to hold mp3 and mp4 files. If you were to put a movie on your ipod it would cost you about 1GB of space depending on the size of the movie. Now that still gives you tons of space to hold more movies and music.
Itunes
When you buy you 30GB ipod it comes with a program called itunes. This allows you to organize your music and videos with ease. Itunes is really easy to use and it has a lot of cool accessories. You can buy things from the itunes store to make you rcollection of movies and songs grow.
Battery Life
The ipod is charges through a USB cord that you get when you purchase an ipod. All you have to do is connect it to your ipod and then to your computer and it will begin charging. The battery life lasts for a pretty long time. I watched three one and a half hour long movies on my ipod before it ran out of batteries.
Sound
The sound quality that you get out of your ipod is amazing. You can enhance the sound quality by getting a good pair of earphones. The ipod comes with a standard pair of earphones that are pretty average.
Durability
The ipod screen tends to get scratched pretty easily so you would definitely want to buy a protective case of some kind. I have dropped my ipod several times but I have a good outer shell cause that protects it from damage.
Cost
The 30GB ipod costs about $250-$300. If you love to listen to music and watch the occasional movie when you're travelling then the price is worth it.
