Apple PowerMac G5 Dual (M9393LL/A) Mac Desktop

When Apple first released the G5, it was surrounded with controversy over whether it was the "fastest desktop in the world" like Apple said it was. However, after I used the G5 it's easy to see that even if people dispute Apple's claims, they can't dispute the fact that the G5 IS fast. In fact, it's so fast that most home users, and even many pro users, won't ever be able to stretch the processor's power to it's limits. Although the G5 is larger than most conventional computer boxes, it's stunning metal exterior will strike a chord in everyone who prizes beauty. Unlike some computers, the G5 isn't just beautiful...it's blazing fast and includes enough software to appease even the most demanding user. Although it's fans can run a bit loudly, it's not even near to being as loud as some of the earlier G4 towers.

Unfortunately, all this power comes at a price. Although it is priced the same, or cheaper, than Wintel PCs with the same price, home users won't benefit from the G5's speed. If you're a student or someone who just needs a computer for the usual computer tasks, such as surfing the Internet and typing out documents, go for the cheap eMac.
