Cons
Umm... None???
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
No viruses, spyware, no fighting with the OS, great price, and it just looks great!
I just received my 13" MacBook about week ago (on February 6th, 2007) and have already completely abandoned the windows world after 15+ years of fighing with Windows PCs. This MacBook has everything you need (except a word processor, I bought MS Office 2004 for Mac right away) and that was all I needed to add... the MagSafe power cable is great (as my other laptop's power cable would not stay in its port and I had to wrap the cord around the screen to keep it plugged in)
The battery on this MacBook lasts about 5 1/2 hours under normal use, and about 3 hours if you are using the CD/DVD optical drive. No heat issues with the battery, it stays very cool compared to the two other laptops i have owned in the last 6 years. The screen clarity and brightness are remarkable and OS X is very soothing on the eyes (Vista still does not compare, try as it might). As a new mac "switcher" I can say for certain that I won't be going back to WinDoze ever again!
If you need to upgrade to a new laptop (or desktop) for Vista, DONT! Get a Mac instead, you won't regret it!
