I love my MacBook!
Pros
Clear picture, fast, sleek design, durable, great for so many uses.
Cons
Bottom and fan get very hot after using it for sometime.
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
Highly recommend. Easy to use and produces quality work.
I had been a PC user since the dawn of my time with computers. I recently started at an art school that mainly uses Apple computers so I decided to switch my PC Desktop with a MacBook.
I had used Macs before but not enough to get too familiar with how they work but once I got my MacBook I had no problem navigating and learning about the different features. I quickly started to prefer Macs of PCs and now I'm a die hard Mac fan and only use PCs when it's absolutely necessary.
It has a fairly sleek design and isn't heavy at all. Screen provides a very clear picture and the colors are vibrant. There are so many options that you can customize it (desktop, display, text, images, etc.) to fit anyone's preferences.
The only thing I don't like is that the MacBook gets very hot. It gets uncomfortable when it's on your lap and it's almost too hot to touch on bare skin. Sometimes this happens after 20 min (if there's a DVD or large program running) or as long as an hour (just browsing on the internet, etc.). It's easily avoided by placing it on a lap tray or something similar.
After 10 months a slight splinter in the face plate developed. I did some research and found that others had this problem. I called Apple Care and they made an appointment for the Genius Bar at the Apple store near me. I went there and had it fixed in 45 min. without charge because I had not had it a year yet. They were very helpful and informative.
