The Ferrari of Computers!!!!

Pros Good Looking
Cons Should be more compatible with common software or programs.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  If you're a web designer, video editor and need a powerful machine, this is the one for you.
I have been a clone PC user for the past 10 years. I absolutely fell in love with Windows XP and never thought I would use anything else. After mastering all XP had to offer, I decided to take a stab at a MAC. I only used MAC a few times previous when I was studying Audio Engineering in Toronto. All of our MIDI classes were on MAC. So I purchased the PowerMAC G4, dual processor, 17" studio display and all the rest for a nice little price of $3,800 Canadian. I have to admit, when I first took this baby out of the box I felt like I just took a glimpse of a new Ferrari, fresh off the lot. It really is that gorgeous. I plugged everything in without even reading any manuals, I was too excited. It started up so nicely, it was much quieter then my PC and OSX booted up within a few seconds. Since then I have been using it for Audio sequencing and have done some Digital photo work and have came to the conclusion that this computer is amazing. The quality of the colour display is breathtaking, colours which seemed much duller on my PC.

Anyone looking to get a MAC should do all the proper research. If you only use a computer for web browsing or playing solitaire, stick to a PC, as the MAC should be used to it's fullest.

UPDATE********

Well, after roughly 7 months of use, I have sold this boring machine. I must admit, no other PC can meet the power of this MAC, especially when working with Photoshop or Video editing software. Besides that, I found myself bored with this machine. I'm an avid user of MSN messenger and Yahoo chat which have pathetic versions for the MAC OS with limited features. As well, most of the intense games I enjoyed on my previous PC, I could not get for MAC. Like I said, I found myself bored. Apple does not supply you with a your copy of MAC OSX, which I found to be weird, especially after dishing out $4000.00 (after taxes) for this machine. I had some major crashes over the 7 months, a few times I couldn't even get the computer to turn off or on. Apple support isn't the greatest, I spoke with technical support about this problem...the guy told me "I'll call you back in 2 minutes sir" that was 2 months ago. Overall I am displeased with this machine. I was used to working hand-in-hand with Windows XP pro and felt a part of the Operating System...The MAC, although beautiful to look at, didn't give me the satisfaction I was used ot from XP. I have now sold the MAC for $50.00 less then I bought it for, so I"m happy about that, and will be building a killer PC running my favourite operating system, Windows XP Pro, for half the price.
