Are all Macs like this?
Pros
Looks nice, fast when it did anything.
Cons
It actually says "It is not my fault" (sure it isn't!)expensive & bug ridden.
Recommended it?
No
Well, I'll start by saying I sold it for $600 just to save my sanity! (The guy who bought it from me gave it away for the same reason.)
Bottom line..we had a basic no frills version intending to use it for audio recording, so no modem no web etc. Using OS 9.2 it crashed on start-up, it froze 'just idling' , it locked up in the middle of running basic functions. Back to the store it went, new motherboard went in, same problems occured. We never, I repeat never even got to the point of installing our recording software!! The store wouldn't refund us, only claimed the new motherboard should have 'fixed everything!' We paid $3000 Canadian for a bug-ridden very nice looking box. Took a huge loss selling it to a MAC fan, but simply never wanted to see it again. We bought a $900 2.1GHZ PC clone and it's been a dream right out of the box for the past year. Draw your own conclusions..there's no reason to own a Mac when a PC will do everything $2000 cheaper, better and runs software that's everywhere!
