This Mac is no sour Apple

Pros Light! Clear screen; FAST!; Fun to use
Cons Average battery life; a little hot along the back; not always Windows friendly.
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Will never buy another Windows system for as long as I can.
This is the first Mac I have ever owned, but not the first I have ever used. This is an outstanding computer! Much faster than any Windows system I have used, especially at rebooting. I love the simpler layout of icons and the greater flexibility for custimization than on a Windows system. The drag-and-drop feature on Macs is especially handy. The keyboard is comfortable with larger than average keys with out any flex in the board when in use. The back lit keys with ambient light sensors for the screen as well is very nice! The screen is clear and sharp, and still pretty easy to view with high ambient light levels (like when you're outside). The mouse tracks better than most other laptops and is easy once you get used to it. The speakers also sound quite good for a laptop. They are clear with volume levels high enough so you can actually hear them! The prepackaged software is also nice with iTunes, iPhoto, Keynote, and several other assistant programs to help make your computer more usable, as well as fun to use. This laptop is also the lightest notebook of this size with all the memory and ram available for it. It is nothing to tote this around when you already carry a twenty pound bookbag!

The only major drawbacks are heat, battery life, and compatability. This thing does put out a good amount of heat towards the back edge when it has been in use for a while. Battery life is also average. If only running basic programs like a word processor, then you can clip four hours on a charge. However, if you are running multiple programs or ones with high graphics, then two hours tops will be the best you will get. Compatability is another issue. Some software isn't supported on a Mac and that can be a pain sometimes, but everything I need to use works fine. Only games and some speacial programs aren't compatable unless purchased from a Mac retailer.
