The Bottom Line:
An excellent product, very easy to use and aesthetically pleasing, I resommend it whole-heartedly
I was given my wonderful eMac for a birthday gift last year, and I have been delightedly using it ever since. Not once have I even had any glitches to deal with. It is without any doubt a superior machine.
It is comparable to the iMac, only faster, and slightly easier to use, with a few new programs. The aesthetic appeal of the machine is fantastic. It has a huge 17 inch screen, and very sharp graphics. It has a DVD player, CD burning program, and many other added bonuses.
Itunes is my absolute favorite, though. It is Mac's new revolutionary music program, and is something to be marvelled at.
Do NOT try to run IMovie 3, though. This newest installation of iMovie is absolutely awful. If it is open for more than a few minutes, it will usually shut down your computer, or make you "force quit" it. Mac was anxious to release the new iMovie before the annual mac expo. And as a result, we were given an incomplete product which really can't even be used.
But that is not the eMac's fault. The new Mac browser Safari works beautifully as well. I find it to be far superior to Explorer in every aspect.
The eMac is great for running all these programs, faster and more efficiently than the iMac. And with speed and storage space surpassing the G4, it's a high up there machine!
