The iBook is everything that a laptop should have. Not many laptops are as compact, has as good battery life, fair price, CD-RW drive and is tough enough for traveling.
A good amount of attention has been taken from the iBook after the debut of the 12" Powerbook. The iBook however for a laptop has all the advantages over the Powerbook on what a user would want on a laptop. The iBook has better battery-life, and doesn't overheat which would be a huge advantage during traveling.
The iBook's G3 also handles what a person would do on a 12" laptop perfectly.
The iBook comes with alot of pre-installed programs and can boot into Classic Enviroment as well as OS X 2.3.
Things you would want to upgrade would be the RAM and one would probably want to connect it to an external monitor with the cable that comes along with the iBook.
Their are a few hassles with the iBook though. Finding hardware like MP3 players or more irregular prepherials are a real hassle. The same goes with software.
