Deciding I needed an updated computer, I recently purchased a brand new Grape Imac DV. (To sit beside our Bondi Blue 233 mhz Imac.) I'm a graphic designer and believe the Mac is the only way to go. =) After the 10 minutes or less it took to hook up my pretty new iMac, I was literally ready to go. Aol was already loaded, so it was as simple as setting up a my account and installing a few choice programs.
I love my little computer! I have had NO problems with it, other than a few little freezes here or there. But that's normal...and, because its a MAC, I know that when I restart, all of my information will still be there!
My DV model is wonderful. I can play fast action online video games without lag, I can work multiple graphics programs without my computer spazzing out. 2 year olds can work the mouse very easily and can learn this computer quickly! If a 2 year old can do it, you can to! And give the mouse a chance! You get used to it so quick! If you decide you don't like it, there is a clipon attachment you can buy to put on it.
I will be honest and say I get lost on a PC. Nothing is easy to find or change, memory cannot be allotted easily to programs I need it for, AND you can't read a Mac disk on a PC. No problems reading a PC disk on a Mac though....hmmmmmmm
I find it hilarious the number of PC's that are trying to emulate the shape, size, colors, and software of the iMacs....Find a NEW idea instead of copying others! Originality is the key and Mac definitely took the computer world by storm with colors.
So my biggest question is, why haven't software makers caught on? Over 2 million iMacs are now in homes and yet there is a severe lack in software for them. AllAdvantage, ICQ, aol 5.0, and many more are still either not available for the macs or are in "testing phases"...Us mac people wanna play!!! =)
Next time your in a computer store, go to the Mac section...play around a bit on a pretty iMac. I'm sure you'll fall in love! =)
