I had a lot of expectations on this camera. I assumed that by 2008 technology has come a long way and that flash memory cameras do have good optics & image processing as standard. I've struggled with a Sony mini-DV camera for a long time which has a broken microphone, however image quality is phenomenal for its size & price.
I like the camera's compactness and the limited features are fine for me. I have two small and lively daughters and the summer coming I wanted to capture the summer with a decent video camera. With the addition of underwater camcording feature it all seemed a match...
However this device does not deliver when it comes to the most important feature - video quality. Even with the highest XP setting, the quality is very poor. Light colors, foggy and unsharp video. I don't get it. Mobile phone manufacturers have shipped phones for years with a similar image quality.
I bought this thing from internet without first trying it so it's my loss. I don't recommend this camera if you're after a decent video quality.
