Another Walmart POS

This has to be the worst DVD recorder I have come across.
Weird tuner setup, hokey display, runs hot doing nothing.
It excels at making coasters.
It excels at playing DVD's but for the price I paid it should do more than that.
Did the firmware update which corrected many issues for a while then it started again. Updated again and it seems ok.
But I mothballed it and being the glutton for punishment I sprung for the ILO that Walmart had for $99.
Works good, much better than this POS.
All these cheap Chinese electronics remind me of the Japanese efforts of the 1960's and 1970's.
If China follows the same path we are in trouble!
