The Bottom Line:
If you really want to slam the competition buy this amp, but remember, this amp really needs a lot of cranking amps to run flawless.
Amplifiers are one of the most important parts of a competition stereo. When power is needed you want the best equipment for your money, and you want it to last. Well look no further. Audiobahn has put out a great series of Monoblock Digital Amps. This series not only beats the competition, it blows it out of the water.
This amp comes prepared to work hard. It has two fans built right into the top of the amp. What this does is help to keep the heat inside the amp to a minimum. Most competitors know that an amp that gets hot loses efficiency, and therefore loses its' ability to create hard pounding bass. Most of the time, you will have to personally put a fan on a amp, but Audiobahn took that into consideration, and hooked you up with two very powerful cooling fans. How nice of them, huh?
Now you are probably wondering how I even know about this amp. Well, here is the explanation. I install car stereo around town locally, and have a few people who are interested in entering the IASCA car audio competition scene. So naturally, I wanted to go with the best equipment possible. Well, needless to say, we bought 2 AWT 15's that each are Dual 1 Ohm Coils, and they can hold 3000 Watts RMS. This is an incredible amount of power, and requires a powerful amp. I decided to go with the 1800D amp that Audiobahn produces.
It takes 4 of these 1800D amps to push this system, so you can expect it to pull some serious power throughout the car. We decided to hook up an extra battery to each amplifier, and since we needed an alternator that would push it we went to Stinger Electronics. With the help of a 200 Amp alternator, we supply all the power that these amps will ever need. If you want to use these amps, be sure to have an extra batter on each amp, or either a good 5-farad capacitor on the amp.
Personally, I have not found this amp to let me down, even at the lowest of impedances of 1 Ohm. This is incredible and very hard to find. I'm not sure what the efficiency level is, but I would guess that it is someone near 70% all the time.

If you want an amp that will look good at the competitions, and also perform as good as it looks, then this is the amp to go with. I have heard rave reviews on Audiobahn, and now from experience, I can claim that they were all true. This amp will provide more power than you can truly handle, but at Outlaw competitions that is perfect.
