Cheap, But Very Unreliable
Pros
Cheap
Cons
Unreliaable (on my 2nd unit, and it doesn't work correctly)
Recommended it?
No
I've purchased two of these incredibly cheap CD/MP3 players. I had to return the first because it stopped working in the first week.
I now have the second which is working sporadically. It usually starts, but intermittently plays my mp3s back at half speed (sounds like slow audiotape), and I have to give it a tap to get it to work correctly. If I were reading this review, I'd think, "that's not possible," but trust me-- my undergrad is in electrical engineering, and I imagine that one of the clocks on the D/A converter is going half frequency because of an intermittent connection.
ANYWAY, I REALLY REALLY want to recommend this product, but I can't. It's just not sturdy enough or reliable enough to spend $30 on. Spend an extra $10 and buy the cheap Panasonic over at circuit city. I'm going to relegate this unit to the car, and buy another CD/MP3 player for the bicycle.
