DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY--A 30-DAY LIMITED WARRANTY IS NOT WORTH THE GAMBLE--WE FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY.
My 8 year old daughter purchased this DVD player with her hard earned $400.00---She enjoyed it for 90 days that it was under warranty and it DIED 12 days later......I searched for "out of warranty" repairs and Audiovox states that you must send a flat fee of $165.00 to cover repairs....without even knowing nature of defect. We're very unhappy-not to mention my 8 year old's reaction.
Every time we plugged the DVD player up it smelled like something was burning, so we shouldn't be surprised that it died. WE WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT, we'll be out another $400-$450 replacing the item. The replacement will definitely NOT BE AN AUDIOVOX PRODUCT.
