Pros Light, easy setup/removal, ability to hook up gaming systems, multiple screens
Cons Not perfect clarity on LCD screen when viewed at an angle.
Recommended it? Yes

The Audiovox VBP 4000 DVD player is a must have for the car traveling family. I know because it literally made our long drive more bearable.

When we decided to drive to Florida from New York with a 4.5 year old and a 1.5 year old, we knew we needed a portable movie player. We chose the... Read full review »

Pros Very easy to hookup and use. Remote control included with batteries.
Cons Screen can be difficult to view if not angeled correctly. Could be larger.
Recommended it? Yes

We had rented a portable VHS player several times through a local rental company, but knew we wanted a DVD player since that seems to be the way the industry is moving. We saw this on sale in the Target flyer with the Eddie Bauer logo name on the case for $288. We had talked about buying one of... Read full review »

Pros I have nothing nice to say about this product. Very Poor Customer service.
Cons Small Screen and bulky. It is not easy to travel with.
Recommended it? No

I purchased this 6 months ago so happy that I got a good deal, or what seemed like a good deal.I cannot believe that it is broken already. I only used it maybe 5 times. The screen will not work and the DVD will not play. It just keeps spinning. I bought it from Smart Bargains and was sold on a 1... Read full review »

Pros Compact, complete packaging, ease of use, removable & multiple screens, AC/DC capability
Cons Poor viewing of screen at an angle, wish one audio headset was included
Recommended it? Yes

After purchasing a new Kia Sedona, we felt it necessary to occupy our 2 1/2 year old in the center seat. We researched multiple handheld units at various size/price levels but the wife and I both found info for this item via the web.

We wanted a good screen size but more importantly, we... Read full review »

Pros Connects to anything, anywhere, any power source. Easily moved, Plays any kind of CD...
Cons Too easily removed. Remote has to face screen to work, Audiovox used car rep
Recommended it? Yes

I read the reviews and they don't seem fair. First note that audiovox has no regard for the quality of merchandise they lend their name to. I bought a boom box with the worst quality of anything I ever bought, and a cell phone that could make it through a nuclear strike. The name means nothing look... Read full review »

Don't be tempted by falling prices

Pros Prices are falling, headrest attachment
Cons bulky, unwieldy wires, screen
Recommended it? No

this unit looks pretty good when you notice that all the prices are dropping... but beware, you get what you pay for... the unit is big and boxy, not so swift for smaller back seats... the discs are pretty well shock-protected, you don't get that much skip and flutter when you drive over bumps, but... Pros None
Cons Piece of crap
Recommended it? No

They need to change their name form Audiovox to AudioCrap. What a piece of crap $400.00 and we used it for less than a year till the video went out. For the same amount of money I could have bought a reputable brand. Read full review »

Pros the kids loved it when it worked
Cons something this expensive should last more than 3 viewings.
Recommended it? No

We bought this DVD player for our two children to keep them entertained in the car on vacations. Well, the system comes with a 90 day warranty, which for occasional use is not enough. The third time we tried to use it, (in a year and a half--so obviously it was out of warranty) the power source for... Read full review »

Pros Very easy to use. Good sound. Good color. Take it anywhere.
Cons The remote control doesn't work that good.
Recommended it? Yes

If you have kids and you are in the car a lot...you really need one of these. You can also take this to work or a hotel room. Anywhere you want to watch a movie and have an outlet. I have had mine for a week and we really like it. The only problem so far is that the remote control seems... Read full review »

Pros Great product while it lasted.
Cons DVD player went up in smoke 12 days after 90 day warranty expired.

My 8 year old daughter purchased this DVD player with her hard earned $400.00---She enjoyed it for 90 days that it was under warranty and it DIED 12 days later......I searched for "out of warranty" repairs and Audiovox states that you must send a flat fee of $165.00 to cover repairs....without even...
