Audiovox VE700 7 in. Portable TV

Up graded from the AM/FM/Cd unit in my kitchen with this unit. Got a good deal on it so I gave it a try. The unit is simple to setup, even though the directions are not that detailed. They give you a mounting sheet, but it may still be a challenge if you are not use to doing this kind of work. I set mine up for cable, but remember you need a line for that. The unit will pick up over the air signals, but I can not get them were I live. Once plugged in the set fined all the channels it can and programs its self. Setting the radio and clock is very simple, but the set button is very small. You will need to use the antennas to pick up more than the closest radio stations, but once hooked up they play fine. Unit has a handy remote that will stick to the frig. I have not hooked up the speaker phone, but it does have one and is easy to use.
One idea for the student is you can move the set to the back side of the unit and use it as a desk top unit. Nice for a dorm room. One other thing about the picture. The set is 16X9, but unless you have a digital signal going in, all you will get is a 4X3 size picture. The color is very good, but you do have to move the screen to a straight view or the picture will distort.
