Audiovox XV6700 Handheld

This PDA is the biggest electronic gadget disappointment of my life. Our relationship started off rocky. The gentlemen who set up my service in the verizon store had no idea what he was doing and I had to wait in the store for 90 minutes while he told me how difficult it was to transfer my existing number and service to the new phone and a new plan.

I assumed after 90 minutes that the phone would be activated but I got it home to use it and it was dead and I needed to call verizon to activate it.

Now the real fun began. I got all my emails set up and was proud as a new father with my chin held high showing off my cool new phone. The joy lasted about as long as the battery life... a few hours.

This phone has the absolute worst battery life of any device I have used. Sometimes less than a couple hours after a full charge. The other posting got all the other issues dead on also. Button position causes constant, unintended redials. My phone would make random beeps, blurts and hicupps that would wake me up. could not determine what these were. Bad signal? It defintely wasn't an email or call.

Please avoid this phone. Two cans and a string combined with a small notepad and pencil would serve you much better. At this very moment my screen does not illuminate and I cannot do anything with it. Run from this phone, don't be tempted by its features or cool look.
