The Bottom Line:
If you are looking for a nice flexible infra red wireless headset system, take a look at this one.
Needed wireless headphones that worked for both home and for the car. This made it challenging as there is no real information on whether home systems work with car systems. After days of research and reading hundreds of reviews I decided to go with the TV listener. It was affordable and the specs, 2.3 and 2.8 Ghz frequencies, implied that it would work with mainstream car audio systems like Toyota, Dodge, Pyle and RCA.
The results. It does work with standard car headphones. In our Caravan, we run a laptop that plugs into the Unisar system. We have an inverter to plug everything into and it is great to not have wires and not have to listen to the movie while the kids watch.
At home, it works like a charm. Even next to a wireless laptop, which I feared would cause interference. The range is good and unless you want THX through your headphones, the sound quality is good enough for most TV/DVD applications. I would still go with surround sound speakers for the big productions, but for private viewing and late night shows, this is great.
When searching, Bebe Sounds and Unisar may come up alternately with the same product. I was told they are one in the same as far as this product is concerned.
