I say you try it out first,make sure there is a refund policy on it,if you like it ,keep it,if not get another one.
I've owned a lot of radar detectors,from the Uniden 767 to the Cobra 9100,and now I decided to jump a step up,and buy me a Bel 950.I bought it about 2 weeks ago from an online store,and to be honest with you,it hasn't let me down yet.I like the volume,its easy to adjust,and you might think its complicated to use,but it will get easy after a while.I paid about $275 for mine,which is a lot of money,The best one I owned so far is this one,it seems like the more you pay,the better detection you get.I was going to buy a Valentine One,which everybody says is the best of the best,but I decided to give the Bel 950 a shot,I have a one month refund policy,so I'm going to try it for one more week,and if it behaves I'll keep it,if not,I will get the Valentine One.It is a good radar detector,but I suggest if you are willing to spend $100 more,I would suggest getting the Valentine One.Check the reviews on it.
