Speed and Get Away with it (Most of the Time)
Pros
Many good features (loud, dim feature, looks cool)
Cons
None
Recommended it?
Yes
It was a cold and dark night. A low thick fog obscured the road bed as I made my way home. It was almost like driving on a storm cloud. For some reason I felt compelled to drive fast. I found my foot leaning inward on the pedal. 60...70...80...95...I thought I had nothing to worry about. After all it was a cold dark night and I had just bought a awesome new Bel Radar Detector. I was sure to evade Johnny Law, or so I thought...
THE MISTAKE
While I was Cruising at 95 I whipped past a small crossroad. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a car stopped at the intersection. Couldn't have been a cop I thought...the radar would have gone off. I pushed a little harder...100 Just then I saw them, flashing blue and red lights. Oh my god I thought, that stupid Radar detector didn't work! Just them I looked up to where it was attached to my visor. I have never felt more stupid in my entire life...it wasn't turned on. That was one heck of an expensive mistake.
PROS
Let me assure you that every time I get into the car I check to see if the Radar Detector is turned on. If I had checked that night I would have surely saved 100 + dollars. This is really a great product. It has an option that lets you set the alert volume very high, so you can hear it over equally loud music (or in-laws). It also has a voice alert and can detect X, K, KA, and laser bands in 360 degrees. It can be easily mounted on the dash, windshield, or visor. It has a dim feature, and a quiet button (in case you get sick of the beeping). Another usefull feature that I use all the time is the City button. This filters out all the non-police radar signals that come from Urban areas.
CONS
Doesn't automatically remind you to turn it on!!!
CONCLUSION
If you have the need for speed pick one of these up today...and stay ticket free.
