Bought the BEL 980 based on reviews. Maybe the performance is exceptional, but it picks up EVERYTHING which radiates waves. From NYC to Montreal it falsed constantly - yes it did save my vehicular-licensed butt a couple of times, but it put my marriage license at risk. The wife is beyond expiration date, so the BEL goes back. Really, it made me crazy too. Had to unplug it several times in the pursuit of sanity. Do not consider buying with less than 10 day grace period for return. Hate to cough up the extra $150 for a Valentine 1, but I'm giving it a spin. They give a 30 day trial. Let's see if Mikey does do circuitry better! Stay tuned.
