Great Ka sensitiviy, does not false on Ka. Extremely sensitive K. Autoscan mode (great)

The Bottom Line:
I would not hesitate recommending potential buyers to purchase this unit. It will save you the expense of tickets and the higher insurance premiums that go along with them.
The absolute best detector I have owned. I have had this for over a year without getting a ticket. 2 nights ago the 995 started going crazy. Ka, Pop and laser. I thought it was developing a problem until I came upon a deputy sheriff cruiser and van parked on the highway median. It gave at least 2 miles of Ka warning and the same for pop. Within 100 yards of the vehicles the laser started going off. Great thing I had the detector as I was doing 80 MPH when Ka and pop went off.
At the Florida/Georgia border 2 weeks ago (where I got a ticket 5 years ago prior to owning the unit)the detector was going nuts on Ka. Sure enough on both sides of the border were loads of smokies. This unit does not false on Ka, K is another matter. K falses at the usual spots (drug stores, supermarkets or any place that has automatic door openers) Remember that these falses never go over 2 or 3 and only last for appx 5-10 seconds. K sensitivity could have been turned down a notch by the factory as the band has a greater sensitivity than Ka. Turning it down would resolve much of the false K's. I dont understand others posters critizing it's durability. It is the best constructed unit I have used and have not had any problems with breakage. It looks and functions as it did at purchase.
I have never gotten a ticket since the purchase. It never fails to sniff out radar and gives plenty of warning. Works best in the autoscan mode.
