My space on my home desktop was limited so I knew a LCD was the way to go. Basically I just purchased the cheapest one I could find at the time. The BenQ FP731 is an easy to set up monitor. I found the picture great. I especially like the thin frame around the screen.
Actually for a no frills basic LCD monitor I highly recommend this one.
Update..I have owned this now for two years and it just died on me. So now I cannot vouch as to the reliability issue. Since you have to mail it back to BenQ in order to get a refurbished one mailed to you I just went out and bought a new Samsung LCD. Hopefully this one will last longer than 2 years.
