The Bottom Line:
You'd be better off with a nice pair of headphones. These tinny speakers stink!
I'll admit it. I bought these speakers because I thought they looked cool.
I got a good deal on them...$35 at a computer show. And I got what I paid for.
Flat panel speakers are supremely cool looking. They can mount directly on a wall or desk. They're smaller that the competition, if space is at a premium for you.
That said, I wish I hadn't bought these speakers. They're tinny sounding. The coolness wears off after about 2 minutes. The bass is thin and there's way too much separation between the bass and the treble.
I recently bought a cheap-ish 3 piece speaker set for my mother's PC. They're Creative speakers, and I paid $30 at Best Buy. They sound infinitely better than this Benwin junk.
