Beats any Speaker in its Class, and Then Some

The Bottom Line:
These speakers are stylish and of solid construction. Great reproduction of music and dialog at any volume. The specifications are accurate without bottom end distortion or overly bright highs.
After having researched just about every bookshelf speaker on the internet and listen to every speaker at your local "electronics" outlets. I trusted in the reviews written on Epinions about the DV-62SI and purchased a pair. I have an aging pair of Optimus Pro LX5II's with their sturdy metal cabinet, 5" woofer, and patented Lineaum tweeter. Coupled with the Optimus Pro SW200 sub, I had all the low end bass, decent mids, and the ethereal highs my Panasonic SA-HE200 could muster. Or so I thought.
When the Bics arrived, I was very impressed with the solid construction of the cabinet and stylish design. The low end bass specs are so accurate that I turned off my sub to hear the sound. The 6" woofers delivered tight and punchy without the muffled, boxy feel. Mids are duplicated with clear cut accuracy that is very comparable to a 3-way component system. The truth lies in the 3/4" tweeter. I hear highs that didn't exist with the LX5's, Infinity's, or Polk's. Brilliant, but not ear piercingly bright. With my amps internal cut off up to 100hz to the front channel, the DV62SI reproduces awesome mids and highs, lets the sub take care of the lows, and creates concise music or dialog at any volume.
I let a friend borrow my Bics to put them up against a set $800.00 Bowers and Wilkins bookshelf's. The difference was slight, more due to the power handling and sensitivity gain, but my purchase price of $109.00 from Amazon was more than worth the difference in sound sacrifice. I will be retiring my Optimus Pro CS5 center channel for the Bic America DV62CLR center. I am that impressed with the sound and quality.
