The people with the blue dot have struck again. Twenty five years ago a friend of mine purchased a used '68 VW beetle that had an AM Blaupunkt radio. This radio had the best sound quality as well as reception range. Here I am older and with some cash to spend and I see the Alaska advertised in my Crutchfield catalog.
I purchase this great looking radio to replace a near death factory radio/CD for my 1997 Nissan Pathfinder. I am using the factory speaker bundle and WOW the Alaska sounds great! My driving experiences are once again just that--experiences. I enjoy the features, which are numerous and easy to program. The radio was easy to install. The FM reception is excellent with some great features. If you are travelling in a new area, you can program the radio to find the 6 strongest stations. These stations are automatically stored in your presets. Also, the time is updated automatically without bother. When the time changes from Daylight Savings to Standard time, the change is automatic.
I highly recommend this radio as a replacement for a dead or dying factory radio. This radio won't break your budget but will give you big budget sound and features.
