The Bottom Line:
If you like the style, or own a VW car, get this one! Key card is better than you might think, sound is basically very good. Especially loud.
I bought this deck for its cool looks. Well, looks aint all, folks!! I think it works okay, and the CD player sounds good. It is rather hard to tell just how good it is since I have the factory speakers still in the rears, and they sound HORRIBLE! The fronts sound detailed, though, I think the CD portion of this deck performs well, except, it skips on bigger bumps. I do have a firm riding car, too, that may be part of the problem.
Funny thing is, when I bought the deck, I thought I wouldn't like the Keycard system. Turns out I love it! Don't have to deal with taking the big faceplate on and off all the time. Plus, it has a built in LED when you flip the faceplate down.
I may get an Alpine on eBay someday, just to see what all the hoopla is about. But for now, this one is working fine and still looks cooler.
