Solid monopod and easy to adjust

Heavier than many monopods but that's so it can support more weight.

I chose this monopod because it is rated at 17 pounds and I have a heavy camera. The bottom section releases with a twist action like a lot of other monopods. The unique thing about this one is that you can adjust the top section up to 19 inches with just a squeeze of the big button on the grip. It's extremely convenient to make height adjustments.
After using it about 5 months the top section started to stick. I emailed Bogen and they responded with instructions on how to fix it the next day. All it needed is an adjustment that is accomplished by turning a single screw.
I was impressed with Bogen's speedy and knowledgeable support personnel.
