The Bottom Line:
Do not waste your time and money on these speakers. You will be extremely dissatisfied with them, and sorry that you bought them.
First of all, I cannot believe that I am the first person to not like these speakers. Granted, they are inexpensive, which is good for those people who do not care much for sound. But for those people who have been suckered in by the advertising genius that is BOSE, you are in for a rather unpleasant surprise. Everyone knows the name BOSE because they advertise the hell out of themselves, not because they sound good. Ask any salesperson, and they won't tell you that the saying around the store is that BOSE= No highs and no lows , but I guarantee that is what they are thinking. These speakers do not even have a tweeter built in, so how can you expect to have crisp highs? I was severely disappointed in the sound of these speakers, even for the price. I thought that maybe they would be worth what I paid, but that is definitely not true. Within 30 minutes of hooking them up and listening to them, I promptly returned them for a full refund, and talked to a salesman who told me that the technology that BOSE uses on their speakers is 20 years old! If there is one thing to live by, it is you get what you pay for. If there is a second thing to live by, it is don't buy BOSE speakers if you want good sound. Not only did these speakers sound muffled no matter what I did, but they seemed like they didn't put out any volume of sound at all. Overall, some of the worst speakers I have ever heard.
