The Bottom Line:
Too cheap of a speaker, not recommended.
The bose model 141 is a simple simple speaker. Lacking any quality the bose name carries with it, it would struggle as a rear speaker. The bass is flat and the highs arent high at all. The only good thing about the speaker is the ability to stand it either on its side or upright. It is a waste of 120 dollars that could be put towards good speakers. And the whole purpose of the star driver cone mystifies me. It neither enhances the clarity or bass of the speaker compared with other speakers in its class such as the sony ssmb100's(which are actually significantly less expensive) or the polk r10 series speaker, which, for the money, would be a best buy. At least 60% of your money, when buying a system, should be spent on speakers. Why would you waste your money on somthing so cheap as the bose model 141 if all it will do is worsen your musical experience?
