I bought the Bose 201's for my master bedroom in 2004 as satellites and do they sound great!!! Wonderful spaciality of acoustic sound and the vocals in particular sound fantastic. The reproduction of drums are outstanding for a speaker system of this size and really arguably Bose's best speaker hands down. The bass is in proportion to everything else about this superb speaker system and neither attracts or detracts from the listening experience. I would recommend the 201's for a small to mid-size listening area or possibly surrounds in a 5.1 home theater set up.
