Pros Requires little space and easy to setup.  MP3 playback.
Cons No HDMI in GS II or headphone port.
Recommended it? Yes

The Bose GS II 321 has surpassed all my expectations with two years of constant and trouble free service.  My neighbors and friends have never asked where the rich sound that powers my football game parties comes from.  DVD's and CD's, in good condition, never skip or hang unexpectantly like other... Complete Home Theater System All In One Box

bydonc230 Nov 27, 2007
63 Helpfuls 64 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Bose, simplicity, outstanding customer support
Cons Bose, not true 5.1, remote not back lit, EXPENSIVE - there are less costly systems
Recommended it? Yes

The Bose 3-2-1 GS Series II is a simple to set up and use, everything in one box, home theater system. The GS Series II improved upon earlier systems with the increased power and additional capabilities that customers have asked for. Expensive, but designed to enhance the viewing experience of the... Simplicity and great sound optimized for a small room

bymdarren Feb 27, 2003

Pros Simple setup, quality, sound, ease-of-use
Cons No universal remote, lack of component video output, not well-suited for large rooms
Recommended it? Yes

We bought the 3-2-1 home entertainment system for use in our bedroom. It is an ideal application for this product. While we liked the idea of having a surround sound system in our bedroom, we weren't all that crazy about having to mount rear speakers (which would have ended up directly above our... Pros Unobtrusive, easy set-up, amazing sound from two small speakers, excellent stereo when...
Cons Expensive, no HDMI, cheesy DVD player, doesn't really live up to simulated surround...

Update (12/19/06)
I'm happy to report that after continuing to play around with speaker placement and making a couple of other changes, I am getting better performance from this system than I originally reported (see below). (1) I've found that it helped to shorten the distance between the... Read full review »

Great for home theatre, mediocre for music

byjbradfor Feb 15, 2006

Pros Home theatre sound in a such a small unit. Impressive!
Cons Music quality is decent at best, limited expandability, no HDMI output/upconversion.
Recommended it? Yes

Very nice system for home theatre IF you want a small system and music quality is secondary to home theatre quality.

We bought both this system and the Denon S-301. The Denon S-301 was better musically, had better features, and had a decent upconverting DVD player. This Bose was better... Read full review »

Bose 3-2-1: Cute Concept... Doesn't Quite Hit The Spot

bysoupcraze Apr 19, 2003
13 Helpfuls 14 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use...
Cons Price, Compressed Sound, Bass Doesn't Quite Hit The Spot, It's Bose
Recommended it? No

The Bose 3-2-1 is an interesting concept that Bose came out with. Getting 5.1 sound from a 2.1 system. 5.1 means five speakers and subwoofer. 2.1 means two speakers and a subwoofer. The Bose 3-2-1 uses two speakers and a subwoofer. It claims to create the kind of sound that you'd hear from a 5.1... Read full review »

Bose 3-2-1, Good Sound but not as Great as Expected

bysissycamp Feb 12, 2008

Pros Sleek, small speakers take up very little room.
Cons It hangs up in the middle of a movie, not perfect.
Recommended it? No

My Hubby and I bought this system for ourselves about two years ago. The sound is actually pretty good for it only having two speakers and the bass unit, I was pretty impressed with it at first. If you are playing music through it, it does leave a bit to be expected. But for playing dvd movies it... Read full review »

Bose 321 GS Series II ROCKS!

Pros powerful but highly clear sound. easy set up. tiny and inconspicuous.
Cons may be pricey for the average wallet.
Recommended it? Yes

for the small size of this 2.1 system, I must say that there is nothing out there that even comes close to the punch and clarity that this systems puts out. The accoutimass box provides quality hard hitting lows, while the two gemstone speakers pumps out amazing mids-highs. The money spent on this... Read full review »

Overrated

bysupersolo Jun 3, 2006
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros I have to think a minute...um, made in the USA?
Cons Bad sound quality, boomy sub, so-so surround sound, cheap DVD player, limited connection...
Recommended it? No

Bose does a nice job with advertising and hype, so to the uninitiated, they are producing something of "audiophile quality". Believe me people, they most certainly are not. Like most of their products, this is overrated. The surround sound quality is fair, although admittedly, its difficult to... Read full review »

Perfect Bedroom TV sound setup. Great sound. Good Service.

bypwrshift Nov 12, 2005
8 Helpfuls 9 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Service was as great as the sound with more than enough volume for me.
Cons The remote won't open the disk drawer and doesn't have fast forward or reverse.
Recommended it? Yes

This was the perfect solution for my new bedroom LCD HD TV which had pitiful sound, but a great picture. I almost didn't buy the Bose 321 because of some poor reviews but it came with a 30 day return policy so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did. It makes an incredible difference and the stereo...
