The Bose 301 : Same Smoke and Mirrors, Different Decade
A Little Background
There are some reading the title that must be thinking, "Nooooo! Surely he isn't going to bash Bose!" and they would be wrong, to some degree. I am not here to bash, but I am certainly not going to bandwagon and sing the praises of the almighty Bose simply because...

Introducing The Bose 301 Series V...A leap In Performance Per Dollar!
Bose 301 Series V: Original Review Date...5 Jul., 2003
Matthew Polk has stated on more than one occasion that speaker designers need to stop constantly replacing speaker models and their #'s with new ones so all can benefit from the attributes of a given model. Apparently the Bose...

Large Speakers that Sound Full
As some of my fellow readers know, I've been using a stereo desktop speaker set (though a good one - Klipsch ProMedia 2.1) for my modest home theater system. If you want smaller speakers go for the 161 which are amazing.

Summary: A pleasant sounding speaker for back ground listening but over priced and out classed by the competition. Tonality is distorted to produce pleasant sound rather than accurate sound. Bass...

Bose 301 Vs Very Good (not as good as the old 301s)
I am not an audiophile. I don't have the time or the money (so it seems). However, I have heard great sound systems before and I have heard crap (all too often). More importantly, I know what I like.
I have to Bose 301 Vs (2 of them) and 2 of the original 301s from the early 90s. I bought...

Love these speakers
I have read many reviews of various Bose 301 series speakers. One thing is evident; you either love them or hate them.
I lie back in my bed, put in a CD and close my eyes. If I feel as I am watching the band playing, I like it. This happens with these speakers. I just set my system up, Denon...
