Bose 901 Series VI Main / Stereo Speaker

I have many speakers....Some expensive, Some very very expensive. I have played in Bands for many years..I enjoy all kinds of music from Strings to brass, From Rock to Gospel and everything inbetween. I love Music!!! I just love it!!! And..I have owned 4 pairs of 901's. I hooked up my first 3 pair of 901's series II using my own eq with some extreme bias. Sounded ok at best. Not sure why my old engineer buddy at Martin was so big on the 901's. I have now a pair of 901 series IV. They look very nice..I decided this time I would hunt down the Bose EQ for them and try them out with Bose high Bias EQ. When you have a pair of 901's with a factory EQ they are very very nice. They actually have brilliant highs and good punch !! And. This is stand alone with no other speakers. Just the 901's. A person that could only afford one pair of speakers , these are a great choice. They sound great for sure!! No kidding..They are darn good!! I do not even have them placed in corners or near the wall properly. I just have them hooked up in an area that is clear of chairs in my living room. And Boy!!! ..Do they sound good...Anyone that says Bose 901's do not sound good are not being honest! I have KEF's Magnas, ESS, JBL, POLK, Electrostatics, EPI, I have other Bose too, 301, 501, 601, Yes..I currently own all of these. I have thousands and thousands of dollars worth of super fine speakers!! I have speakers that I do not remember that I have speakers...But..these 901's I remember...And will always remember because I am going to keep them..They are...Keepers!! Sweet, Clear, and good bass too. The Bose eq makes the real difference..You can get pretty good sound but only pretty good with a non Bose EQ. You really do need the super high bias EQ from Bose. The idea is that since you are bouncing the sound off of the walls, drapes, ceiling, ect..You need super high bias. Placement is important but not as super critical as others say. I read about this one guy that gave his Bose 901 back because they sounded like crud.. Strange..I have had 4 pairs now and none of them ever sounded like crud. I have to admit..The Bose eq really does the trick for sure!!! Bose 901's..They are sweet...I am a believer for sure...Go BOSE!!!!!
