Bose 901... way to expensive , average quality sound, not worth the money.

Pros drive them with an intergrated amp if you buy them.
Cons way expensive. average sound. unattractive.
Recommended it? No
The Bottom Line:  there are better sound speakers with half the price.. Infinity,Jbl,Kplisch.. B&W(700 series)
I heard a lot about the 901's, from friends, colleagues
about the stupendous sound that these speakers produced.. and was actually going to buy them...

I did however had other brands in mind, considering the fact that the 901's are expensive as hell..
So, I went to the bose store and check them out for about half an hour or so, listening to different kinds of music, and trying them out with different amps as well...

The first impression that came to my mind was that i have heard better sounding speakers with half the cost of the 901's and honestly it's not worth the money...
I had also kept durability in mind and other related factors.. very ordinary grills(cheap quality) and wood as well....
I won't really say the sound is horrible.. but not worth the money.. just another average speaker...
So, i left and went to harman house to check out jbl and infinity...
There was this particular speaker i liked from jbl.. jbl studio series L 890, these speakers blew me away amazing sound, good high-to-low and mids were excellent.. clear, sharp, punchy and sound with a little more depth...
and they are cheaper than the 901's...
given the fact they had titantium(pure) tweeters, so was the midrange of titantium made, resulting in sharp, crystal clear, clean sound.... So i both them, along with an intergrated amp of 180 watts per channel(NAD)..

Word of advice to all those who think bose 901's are good sounding speakers, sorry they are far from that..
