A Good System for a Medium Sized Home

Pros Ease of use, Sound Quality.
Cons Did not find anything until now....
Recommended it? Yes
The Bottom Line:  Good Choice for Medium Sized Rooms and for the price.
Bose Acoustimass basically comes in two versions. One is Acoustimass 6 and another is Acoustimass 10. Unlike Acoustimass 10, Acoustimass 6 has only the direct speakers and not the refecting ones.

If your house is not as big as best buy, then I would advise you to go in for Acoustimass 6. Again in Acoustimass 6 you have two versions, namely Acoustimass 6 Series II and Series III. The difference is again in the sub woofer drivers only. I got Acoustimass 6 Series III and I placed it in my hall which is of about 350 Square Feet.

Initially, I thought of going for Acoustimass 10, but later decided to invest the 400 dollar difference in the receiver. I bought a classic receiver from Yamaha (Model HTR 5790) which was about 600 dollars. The result was terriffic. Bose with Yamaha is just unbeatable.

Points to remember:

Always use the best AV equipments that would let out digital AV signals. Traditional VCD/DVD players may have only mono / stereo outputs. Try getting equipments that can send digital/coaxial outputs.

If your room is small and the receiver is not highly performing, you may not be happy with your system performance. I am sure you would never want to turn on the full volume ever. Hence it is advisable to go in for a model that would best suit your room size.

If you auto configure your bose for the first time, always go back and use the manual options to set it again. By doing this, you can best ensure that you get the most out of your system.

While installing you bose speakers, follow the space requirements between each speakers. This really has its meaning behind.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me. I am not a Gadget Pro, but I know little to help out the
newbies.

Happy Listening.
