As a home theater nut with kids, eventually you need things up and out of the way. After the toddlers pushed in the cones of my "real" speakers and filled the subwoofer ports with Power Rangers, I opted for the AM-6 in WHITE.

Mounted to the walls using the Bose brackets ($19 each on eBay, never pay list) the five small cubes are nearly invisible on my white walls. The subwoofer (actually also the control module for all of the speakers,) hides behind the 51-inch TV.

Not ideal, certainly, but there are tradeoffs when you can't have the Sonus Fabers within reach of the kiddies. I thought the small cube would make a lousy center speaker but it does very well, actually.

I did add a powered subwoofer to my Yamaha 120W x 7 receiver, which added considerably to the punch.

I think some of the naysayers about Bose cubes are missing the point, however. No, they are not ideal speakers and yes, they cost quite a bit. But many of us are limited by what we can place in our homes and still remain happily married. We'd all love larger, better speakers, even those that cost less.

But for the size and lack of intrusion, these are very, very good speakers indeed.

Come in black or white. Lots of cable included but you may run your own in the walls. RCA jacks connect each end so standard cables also work.

Often on sale at authorized retailers for $100 off; never any more than that. Ebay sellers sometimes have these as well. List is $699, without brackets.
