When Size Does Matter

So let's be honest. These are not high-end speakers. If you're the type who can rattle off the model numbers of your multi-thousand dollar system off the top of your head, these speakers probably aren't for you.
These speakers are for the rest of us.
The system comes with a bass module and five coffee-mug-sized satellite speakers. The wire you need to hook it all up is also thoughtfully included. This means you don't have to worry about matching up your center-channel speaker or looking for surround speakers, or remember to pick up a roll of speaker wire. Everything you need to get up and running is included.
Bass sound is non-directional enough that you can hide the bass module out of sight without worrying too much about placement. Mine is a few feet to the left of my television, and this doesn't affect the apparent source of the sound at all. Note that this is not a subwoofer.
Placement of the satellite speakers is more important; they are small enough that it would be easy to put them in unfortunate places, to the detriment of your sound quality. They are shielded, though, so you can put them right next to your television if necessary without problem. I keep my left and right speakers next to the TV, and then move them out to better-sounding but less convenient positions when I sit down to watch a movie. You needn't rearrange your room to place these speakers; they can fit into your existing lifestyle. (And if you end up with your center channel speaker being a different distance from the listening position than your left and right speakers, a decent receiver will be able to compensate for it.)
The sound is great. You'd never think such small speakers could sound this good; they don't sound "small" at all. Imaging in particular is perfect, which is amazing considering the bass is coming from the central module. If you like watching action movies the way the Good Lord intended, you'll need to be careful doing so if anyone else is sleeping in the house.
The speakers are rated for up to 100 watts x5, at either 4 or 8 ohms.
