Hmmm, shouldn't this system be in a museme?

Pros UHF Remote
Cons Overpriced, sounds bad, no expandability.
Recommended it? No
If you are looking at buying this bose system, don't. I worked in an electronics store for two years (just quit) and we had a saying for bose. In fact we had a couple: You know what bose stands for? Better Off with Something Else, another one was "No highs no lows, gotta be bose." I guess you can tell my opinion on the company is not high. They dump all there money into advertising instead of product quality and development. The most impressive thing about this system is its size. Small speakers and "head unit" which incorperates a tuner/processor/cd player. The actual amplifier is incorperated into the subwoofer. Oh sorry bose I mean "base module". You MUST wire the speakers through the sub unit. This is a major pain in the neck, as it limits your flexability with speaker placement. For surround sound it sounds terrible. They are not even using Dolby surround! They also made sure that it is totally non-upgradable. Want Dolby Digital sound? Forget it with this system. It doesn't have a digital processor. Kind of makes that DVD player useless sound wise. Also all the speakers are paper. If you hooked those speakers up to a real amplifer or reciever you would blow them in a heartbeat. For two grand there is MUCH BETTER out there. My recomendation is the Mirage AVS system. This system incorperates speakers roughly the same size as the bose. They offer polypropalene drivers and (gasp!) seperate titanium tweeters! The subwoofer is a seperate powered woofer (8") and is amazing for the size. This is a great sub sat system and will only cost you about $700.00 US! This allows you to grab an excellent reciever like Denon's AVR2800 and a cd player like Denon's DCM 270 and you are still under the price of the bose lifestyle. Oh so is there anything I like about the Bose system? Yeah the UHF remote controll. Works anywhere in the house.
