It is no wonder why Bose is doing so well. This system was the best thing I ever bought. The sound that comes out of these tiny little speakers is INCREDIBLE! This unit comes with a powered subwoofer that you can place into any corner of the room. The two satellites are also adjustable so you can turn them away from you until you can't tell where the music is coming from. I usually close my eyes and see whether my ears can detect where the music is coming from. If I can then I adjust some more until I can't.
Probably the best thing about this unit is the remote control. It uses radio waves instead of an infared beam which means you don't have to point it in any directions. Heck you can even walk outside the house and still use it in your bedroom! I heard a funny story when I was at my local stereo shop. A mom came in and purchased an additional remote control for her neighbor which complained how loud her son plays his music so late at night. She gave her neighbor the extra remote and said to her "Any time you hear it's too load just turn it down yourself!".
If you don't want to hang them on your walls, Bose sell stands for the satellites for $95 a pair. Sort of expensive but at least they match the speakers. They are fully adjustable for height and they look sharp.
With the housing market growing crazy no wonder why people are turning to tiny satellite speakers. Homes are getting smaller because the dollar isn't buying much these days. These satellites they don't take up much space and they put out sound that matches the big heavy speakers.
So for those who don't have the space for huge speakers the bose offer a nice compromise.
