A great pet in confined spaces
There are many who would argue about the pros and cons of using traditional full range speakers vs. using satellite speakers an a sub-woofer; however, the Bose strikes quite a good compromise, especially if you live in a confined space.

Beautiful--for a price...
We recently moved, and needed a new stereo system for a smaller living room. Without a doubt, the Bose is the absolute greatest system available for a small space.

Amaze your friends
I think the neatest aspect of the Bose Lifestyles 5 system is its appearance is so discreet you can almost make the entire system vanish. Bose Lifestyle 5 Not Recommended for $1300
I've tried the Bose and frankly for $1300 you'd do much better following the Buying Guide for Systems under $2000 (www.audiosystems.com/RecommendedSystems.htm) I found on this site.
For $800 you can do a NAD Music System which sounds better than Bose and is cheaper than the recommended...

OK it's not for real audiophiles who like to add together lots of fancy boxes with yards of amazingly expensive connections.
