Excellent for the "Average Joe" DVD watcher
Pros
super-easy setup, great sound quality, one box only to bring home
Cons
box is a bit heavy, some might time price is a bit high
Recommended it?
Yes
The Bottom Line:
I recommend this system and would buy it again. Sell people might tell you that Bose has no middle sound speakers (only bass, low and high) but you won't notice.
Overview:
If you're looking for a good DVD system which is super easy to set up then this is for you.
The good stuff:
I went to BestBuy and bought it. Comes with one box only so it's easy to take home unless bigger system which might come in several boxes.
Once at home it was super easy to set-up. Simply connect the cables and you're ready to go. Don't worry about the speakers placement because the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system will adjust the system automatically, which works very well.
The operation of the unit is very simple and straight to the point. I actually connected the TV back into the Bose system so when I was TV (not DVD) I can run the audio through the Bose speakers, which is pretty cool. The remote control has everything one needs.
The bad stuff:
Some might think that it's expensive but it does deliver for the price. The box is rather heavy so bring a friend helping you carry it. I wish the remote had a button to switch between played time and reminding time, which it has not. And the neighbors might occasionally complain because you will be tempted to enjoy your favorite DVD a bit louder than you're supposed to.
