Problems with my Boss

Face unit hard to take off and put back on. Whine noise when I accelerate.

I bought this Boss 814CA stereo as a replacement for my factory installed head unit. I liked that it had a cd/mp3 and an old fashioned cassette player. I made the mistake of not doing enough research because I was standing on my head to get a new radio for my car. I purchased it from a local shop and they saw me coming I paid way too much. If you buy get it cheaper through the internet and have it installed.
The sound is pretty good for a cheap stereo. I hate that after I replaced the factory installed Bose, the dreaded altenator noise is driving me crazy. I've had noise filters installed and that still hasn't killed the "whine". The second shop claimed it was the head unit, not my car. So rather than waste my time fighting with the shop I purchased it from, I'm going to take a loss and purchase a more expensive model.
This model has a detachable face but after a few uses, has become very difficult to put back on. It might work for others, just not for me.
