Bushnell North Star 127mm Mak
Pros
Ease of set-up, easy alignment.
Cons
Not Many!! Tripod little sturdier, 4mm eyepiece not appropriate
Recommended it?
Yes
Outstanding! Bushnell propels itself into more serious regions with the latest addition to it's popular Northstar series.
I had the scope set-up and ready for viewing within 10 minutes of taking it out of the box. Set-up could not be easier. I especially like the one-screw mount for the telescope body.
Aligning the Northstar: Piece of Cake!! There are three methods avaiable: Earth Align (using LAT/LONG), Star Align (at least two alignment stars) and align object (good for 'fine-tuning').
Views: Awesome!! This is a perfect 'intermediate' scope. I came to this scope from a 114" reflector, a 60mm refractor, and a pair of 12X60 Binos. This is the perfect step-up from that level.
Conclusion: If you are at 'easy' level and looking to step up to 'intermediate' GO FOR IT!! This is the one for you.
I love my new scope!!
