Pros
Fairly compact and clear optics at lowest zoom settings.
Cons
When zoomed out to the higher settings, you loose a lot of clarity.

These would not be my first choice for a serious bird watcher or observer, but they are a decent pair of binoculars for the money. At the lowest zoom setting, they are very clear, but when zooming out to the higher settings, the view quickly becomes darker and fuzzier.
