Bushnell Deep Space 420x
Features
60mm Coated Glass Objective Lens. The coated lens is said to enhances the telescopes light gathering capabilities. With that being said this allows you to few the not so bright stars in the sky.
The Bushnell Deep Space 420x that I got came with 5mm and 20mm ocular lenses. The different size mm allows you up to six different magnifications levels. These different levels are used to suit various viewing conditions.
The adjustable hardwood tripod allows you to adjust the telescope to different heights.
Erecting lens allows you to view land based objects as well as celestial objects.
Diagonal mirror provides you with a 90 degree viewing angle. Allows you to view objects comfortably when telescope is titled at different angles.
3.0x barlow lens increases the magnification of the telescope by a factor of three.
5x24 finderscope allows you a wider field of view than the main telescope tube. Allows you to locate an object easier.
Bushnell limited lifetime warranty. The telescope is warranted against defects inworkmanship.
My Experience
I assembled the telescope myself and played with it for several hours. I received the telescope free from accumulated Marlboro miles several months ago. The Bushnell Deep Space 420x was my first experience with a home telescope. The assembly of the tripod legs was a pain. Overall the assembly was basic and didn't invest to much of my time.
Finding objects to view in space was another story in itself, that is the hard part. I first focused on the moon and I would have to say what I saw was a neat experience. You are able to view a detailed depiction of the moon with the Bushnell Deep Space 420x.
I then focused my attention to the stars. I had one pleasant experience in viewing a star. The star appeared to be of the color blue with a blue array of light around it. Although hard to describe it was another neat experience I had with the Bushnell Deep Space 420x.
In Conclusion
This telescope was a free product for me. I myself wouldn't go out and purchase the Bushnell Deep Space 420x. Im not saying this is a bad telescope to buy it's just not my thing. If you are a person who does like to view objects in the sky the Bushnell Deep Space 420x will allow you to do so. I think a beginner would benefit from the Bushnell Deep Space 420x. Someone more advanced in space viewing should look for a more powerful telescope.
